Houston, TX – August 28, 2025 — Aexa Aerospace is proud to announce its continued support to the United States Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC) with the successful delivery of innovative defense equipment designed to increase safety, efficiency, and readiness for Airmen working on one of America’s most iconic aircraft systems.
The project was made possible through STRIKEWERX, the innovation hub of AFGSC, whose streamlined process allowed requirements to be defined with clarity and executed with speed. This collaboration ensured that innovation moved quickly from concept to operational capability.
U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Adam Vasas, AFGSC project champion from the Logistics Innovation Branch, emphasized the impact of the prototype on readiness, saying:
“This prototype will help us alleviate maintenance backlogs caused by weather, which increases aircraft availability while also providing Airmen a more comfortable, safe working environment.”
“Our team at Aexa Aerospace is honored to support the mission of the Air Force Global Strike Command,” said Dr. Fernando De La Peña Llaca, President and CEO of Aexa Aerospace. “Working with STRIKEWERX has allowed us to turn requirements into results with unprecedented efficiency. We are also grateful for the strong partnerships that made this achievement possible, particularly with Cyfor Technologies, under the leadership of CEO Sergio Muñiz, and Jegon Industrial Services, under the leadership of President Jesus Gonzalez, who contributed as trusted subcontractors to Aexa.”
This project also marked a milestone within Aexa Aerospace’s own leadership development. Fernando De La Peña Jr., serving as Project Manager, reflected on his first Department of Defense program:
“To lead this project alongside our partners and deliver a solution that directly supports Airmen in the field has been an incredible honor. This was my first project as a DoD program manager, and it showed me how innovation, teamwork, and determination can come together to make a real difference for our warfighters. I could not be prouder of what our team achieved.”
This milestone builds on Aexa Aerospace’s track record of delivering advanced solutions to NASA, the Department of Defense, and other government agencies, reinforcing the company’s role as a leading innovator in aerospace and defense technology.
Pending evaluation, the solution could be scaled for broader deployment across the command, further strengthening the readiness and operational resilience of the U.S. Air Force.
